Join us for events year-round! Events are open to Girl Scouts from all councils, and many are open to non-Girl Scout members, too.
Hike the Amahami Perimeter
There’s no better time of the year to go for a hike than October! Come hike the perimeter led by Jenn "Monge" Jones. See the changing leaves and explore the outer edges of Amahami. Bring your daypack, water bottle, lunch, snacks, appropriate clothing, and good hiking shoes/boots. You will be hiking on and off trail through the woods for approximately four miles. Open to girls in grades 4-12 and adults. Girl Scout membership required. First aider is provided. Adults not required to attend. Register
Harvest Fest
Enjoy Harvest Fest at Camp Amahami! Activities include arts and crafts, spooky hay ride, scavenger hunt, fall snack, fall foliage, and much more! This event is open to all ages; bring a bag lunch, water bottle, and dress for the weather. We will be outside! Units and buildings are available to rent for overnight. Open to girls in grades K-12 and adults. Girl Scout membership not required. First aider is provided. Adults within ratio required. Register
Susquehanna River Raiders Canoe Team
Learn canoeing skills that last a lifetime. Get pointers from professional racers. Have fun as you learn to "read the river.” If you are looking for a fun, learning, competitive canoe racing experience, the Susquehanna River Raiders is the team to join. Girls must be 11 years of age by May 25, 2024, to participate.
First meeting of the year is either 9/17 or 9/16. The team meets monthly until spring, then weekly until Memorial Day Weekend, which is the date of the races. Additional dates to be determined. Register
Make It, Eat It, Take It
Come to Camp Amahami for a variety of indoor and outdoor cooking, food preservation, and bread making. Eat what you want and take some home! Girls should be at least 12 years old. Adults may stay for transportation purposes, but will not be participating in the program. Open to girls in grades 6-12 and adults. Adult not required to attend, but may. Girl Scout membership required. Register

Troop Core
This camping experience is for Girl Scouts and their troop leaders to enjoy a fun, community-based camping weekend. Girls and leaders will enjoy classic camp activities such as archery, swimming, boating, and more facilitated by our camp staff. Troops do not need to have First Aid or Simply Successful Camping training to attend. Meals are provided on Saturday and Sunday.

Mom & Me
This overnight camping experience is for Girl Scouts and any special adult female! Participate together in some favorite camp activities like swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and archery while enjoying each other’s company. Meals are provided throughout the duration of the program.

This camp experience is for all Girl Scouts and any special adult male! The day will be full of classic camp activities like swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and shooting sports! Lunch is included.

Open House
Join us to tour camp, meet the Camp Director and some counselors, and get all questions about summer camp answered! Open to Girl Scouts of all levels and non-Girl Scout members.
Mom and Me
This overnight camping experience is for Girl Scouts and any special adult female! Participate together in some favorite camp activities like swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and archery while enjoying each other’s company. Meals are provided throughout the duration of the program.

Simply Successful Camping Training
Has your troop gone on overnights and now you're ready for camping in a lodge, cabin, or tent? Then it's time to take Simply Successful Camping (SSC) and learn to plan and facilitate a safe group outing. We will prepare meals using various outdoor cooking methods, practice knife-safety, fire building, and more. Pre-requisites: Simply Successful Overnights (SSO) and one group overnight experience. This training is only for adults.
Once registered you will receive an email containing a link to complete the required pre-course for Simply Successful Camping. The pre-course will take approximately one hour to complete through gslearn. Please Note: There is an overnight option available for this session. Register
Spring Work Day
Come help us get Camp Amahami ready for spring and summer camping and programs. Lunch will be provided by Friends of Amahami. First aider is provided. Girls must be accompanied by adults within ratio. Register

While out on our adventures we will have hot chocolate on the trail! Then it'll be time to head inside to have lunch, then venture back outside to finish our day by a warm campfire toasting the perfect marshmallow for your s'more. Plus do a craft to take home. Please pack a lunch, water bottle and be sure to dress for the weather. We will be going outside throughout the day. Troops and families are welcome to register.

Winter Weekend
Get out of the house and come to Camp Amahami for some fun in the outdoors! Typical activities include snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, outdoor survival, a service project, and a few things we haven't put together yet! Food, lodging, and program supplies are included in the fee.
Open to Girl Scouts in grades 6-12. Individually registered girls can attend, but space is limited due to ratio - otherwise, adults within ratio are required. Register
